It is rare for the "Cuvee Louis" from Tarlant to be single vintage, a release that only happens after much deliberation, careful observation and vigorous testing. Harvested in 1996 (largely considered one of the best vintages Champagne has ever had), bottled in 1997 and only disgorged in 2023, this bottle is almost three decades in the making.
Named after the current producer's grandfather Louis Tarlant who planted the original vineyard in which the grapes for this wine were grown, you can expect chalky minerality, bright citrus, delicate florals, and the kind of depth only decades on the lees can deliver.
