The color is a deep, concentrated red in the glass, youthfully vibrant and striking. The nose opens with notes of ripe red and black fruits and berries, supported by accents of mint and earthy spice all upon a firm foundation of characteristic minerality. The palate is lively, with flavors reminiscent of various jams made from red fruits and berries along with notes carried over from the bouquet. The tannins are fine yet powerful, balanced by the excellent expression of fruit. This wine can be enjoyed young but will also hold in a cellar for up to ten years.
