Lighter than other examples of this varietal, the nose is an interesting mix of the ripe sweetness and tart character of tropical fruits: notes of pineapple, kiwi and quince are balanced by subtle hints of bread dough and vanilla. the tropical character is brighter on the palate, the varietally typical notes of lemon, honeydew melon and pear supporting the pineapple and orange notes which coat the mouth on first sip. Though there is a pop of acidity, it doesn’t threaten to overwhelm like in other wines (like Sauvignon Blancs) due to the expertly crafted balance with the main, fruity core which remains the basis for the long and flavorful finish.
