Think of this as a “Baby Rosso di Montalcino”, which itself is sometimes known as “Baby Brunello di Montalcino”. Intensely ruby red in color, the nose is incredibly fragrant, with notes of crushed red berries and wild herbs rising from the rim of the glass. The palate is fresh and fruity, with notes of red cherries and berries upfront, mingled with subtle notes of dried herbs, before transitioning to notes of ripe tomato, baking spice, and earth. The medium body, satisfying texture and bright acidity makes this an approachable wine that still exemplifies the characteristics of it’s home, just like good wine should.
