A bright and approachable version of a Fumé Blanc (Californian-style oak aged Sauvignon Blanc). A complex blend of aromatics greets the nose, with notes of honeysuckle, key lime and verbena lifting from the glass, as well a just a touch of a vague “greenness”. On the palate, flavors of lemongrass, stone fruits, pink grapefruit and other citrus fruits are backed by a flinty minerality and the characteristic green herbaceousness found in Fumé Blanc. The acid is vibrant and energetic, perfectly balancing the fruity core while the influence of oak rounds off the overall unctuous mouthfeel, with the herb and mineral notes lasting through the long finish.
