This is a well-crafted, lively, layered and flavorful blend. Dark and intense in color, the nose is richly complex with notes of ripe redcurrant, black cherry, dried herbs, cedar wood and bay leaf nuances against a backdrop of straw, bark, earth and some dried mushroom. In it’s early years, the fruity notes of darker berries dominate the palate, but given time in the cellar (5-10 years), the profile will mature beautifully to highlight more dried herbs, chocolate and a tinge of iron. That fruity core and bright acidity, when combined with the fine-grained tannins, well balanced structure and lengthy finish prove this to be a wine that will stand up to the best of the old claret styled wines.

Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon 76%, Tannat 5%, Merlot 4%, Pinot Noir 3%, Petit Verdot 3%, Syrah 3%, Cabernet Franc 2%. The Remaining 4% is a blend of Nielluccio, Montepulciano, Saperavi, Carménère, Tempranillo and Abouriou.
