If people decided to study the prevalence of orchard fruit notes in a wine, this Chardonnay would definitely be on the syllabus. On the nose, aromas of white peaches and pears are joined by an underlying layer of bright citrus fruit notes with hints of almonds and dried honeysuckle. The palate is crisp and bright, well-textured with a crunch reminiscent of the apples grown in Washington state. And speaking of apples, the crisp and refreshing flavor of red apple dominate the majority of the palate, before tapering off to a mineral-driven finish, with just a touch of peach pit at the end.
