On the nose, notes of candied limes, lychee, stone fruit and sweet white flowers are supported by a bed of chalk. The combination of grapes provides a nice balance to the vibrant acidity, as the Catarratto provides a silky, fuller body sensation to express the notes of lemons, ripe orchard fruits and yellow pear. The volcanic soil in which these grapes are grown really shine in the finish, as the citrusy tension is cut by the lingering notes of sea-salt encrusted rocks and minerals.
