This wine shines in the glass, a translucent patchwork of ruby-red shades throughout the body. The bouquet is complex and powerfully fragrant with notes of red cherries and black fruits, dried herbs and allspice, leather, earthy white truffle and an intriguing florality. The medium-bodied palate is firm and fresh, the notes of black currants and red cherries from the nose really coming to the forefront, laced with basil, black pepper and spice notes. The juicy acidity present at the core, paired with a developing stony minerality, creates a nevertheless silky and smooth texture which helps frame the age worthy, fine-grained tannin structure. The delightfully long, lingering finish makes this perfect to drink now or hold through 2028.
